To connect the JBL Professional CSA1300Z amplifier to your speakers, please follow these steps:
1. Determine the type of speakers you have:
- Low Impedance Speakers: These speakers have an impedance of 4 or 8 ohms.
- High Impedance Speakers: These speakers are designed to operate at 70V or 100V.
2. For Low Impedance Speakers:
- Connect the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals of the amplifier's output connector to the corresponding terminals on your low impedance speakers. Make sure to maintain the proper polarity.
- The minimum impedance that can be driven from each output channel is 4 ohms. You can connect up to four 16 ohm speakers wired in parallel, two 8 ohm speakers wired in parallel, or one 4 ohm speaker to an amplifier output channel.
3. For High Impedance Speakers:
- Set the 70V/100V switch on the back panel of the amplifier to the "ON" position. This enables the 70V and 100V outputs and activates the 70Hz high pass filter.
- Connect the appropriate (70V or 100V) pin of the amplifier's output connector to the positive (+) terminal of your high impedance speaker.
- Connect the COM pin of the amplifier's output connector to the negative (-) terminal of your high impedance speaker.
- The minimum impedance that can be driven from each output channel is provided in Appendix A of the manual.
Please refer to the "Output Wiring and Connectors" section in the manual for visual diagrams and further details on connecting your speakers to the amplifier.
