To install the BIC MSRPRO6 in-ceiling speakers, please follow these steps:
1. Determine the location: Choose the desired location on the ceiling where you want to install the speakers. Ensure that there are no obstructions or electrical wires in the area.
2. Cut the mounting hole: Use a template or the provided manual to mark the cut-out dimensions on the ceiling. The estimated cut-out dimension for these speakers is 7 to 8 inches. Carefully cut the hole using a saw or appropriate cutting tool.
3. Connect the speaker wires: Run speaker wires from your amplifier or receiver to the installation location. Strip the ends of the wires and connect them to the binding posts on the back of each speaker. Make sure to match the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals correctly.
4. Mount the speakers: Insert the speakers into the cut-out holes and secure them in place using the included mounting screws or clamps. Ensure that the speakers are flush with the ceiling surface.
5. Adjust the tweeters: The BIC MSRPRO6 speakers have pivoting tweeters. After mounting the speakers, you can adjust the tweeters to direct the sound towards your desired listening area. This allows for maximum dispersion and clean highs.
6. Install the grilles: Attach the weatherized metal paintable grilles or the white cloth décor grilles with Scotch guard to the speakers. These grilles protect the speakers and give them a finished look.
7. Test and enjoy: Once the speakers are installed, connect your amplifier or receiver to a music source or home theater system. Turn on the system and test the sound from the in-ceiling speakers. Adjust the volume and settings as desired.
