To install the KEF CI200QL Ceiling Architectural Loudspeaker, please follow the steps below:
1. Determine the desired location for the speaker installation. Ensure that the chosen location meets the necessary structural requirements and provides optimal sound coverage.
2. Cut a hole in the ceiling according to the dimensions specified in the mechanical diagrams provided in the user manual. Take care to avoid any electrical or plumbing components.
3. Connect the speaker wires to the terminals on the back of the speaker. Ensure proper polarity by connecting the positive (+) wire to the corresponding positive terminal and the negative (-) wire to the negative terminal.
4. Insert the speaker into the cutout hole in the ceiling, making sure it fits securely. Use the included rough-in frame kit, if available, to provide additional support during installation.
5. Secure the speaker in place using the provided mounting screws or clamps. Ensure that the speaker is flush with the ceiling surface and aligned properly.
6. Attach the magnetic grille to the speaker by aligning it with the speaker's bezel and allowing the magnets to hold it in place. The grille can be painted to match the surrounding decor if desired.
7. Connect the speaker wires to the audio source or amplifier. Ensure that the connections are secure and properly insulated.
8. Test the speaker by playing audio through it. Adjust the positioning and orientation of the speaker if necessary to achieve the desired sound coverage.
Please refer to the user manual for detailed installation instructions, including any specific guidelines or precautions provided by KEF.
