To install the Rockville WHEEL OF BASS 8" Slim Truck/Car Audio Subwoofer, follow these steps:
1. Choose a suitable location: The subwoofer is designed to fit under a seat or in the trunk. Ensure that there is enough space and clearance for installation.
2. Connect the power: Connect the power wire from the subwoofer to the positive terminal of your vehicle's battery. Use an appropriate fuse near the battery terminal for safety.
3. Ground the subwoofer: Connect the ground wire from the subwoofer to a metal part of the vehicle's chassis. Ensure that the connection is secure and free from paint or rust.
4. Connect the audio input: If you have a factory or aftermarket stereo system with RCA outputs, use an RCA cable to connect the subwoofer's RCA input to the corresponding output on your stereo. If you don't have RCA outputs, you can use the high-level inputs on the subwoofer.
5. Adjust the settings: Use the controls on the subwoofer to adjust the volume, subsonic filter, low pass crossover, phase, input sensitivity, and bass boost to your preference.
6. Mount the subwoofer: Use the included mounting feet to securely mount the subwoofer in your chosen location. Ensure that it is stable and won't move during vehicle operation.
7. Test and fine-tune: Play some music and test the subwoofer's performance. Adjust the settings as needed to achieve the desired sound quality and bass level.
