To install the Polk Audio 65-RT In-Wall Speaker, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the wall or ceiling surface: If you have a heavily textured wall or ceiling, sand and smooth the area around the speaker cutout to ensure proper seating of the speaker and grille.
2. Take inventory: Make sure you have all the necessary components, including the in-wall loudspeaker, speaker cutout mounting template, Sheer-Grille, port plug (if applicable), owner's manual, and registration card.
3. Determine the installation location: Mark the desired location for the speaker using a pencil. Ensure that there are no concealed studs, electrical wiring, or plumbing in the wall or ceiling where you plan to install the speaker.
4. Cut the hole: Use a keyhole saw, utility knife, or appropriate tool to cut a hole according to the provided cutout dimensions. Use a level to ensure the hole is straight.
