The Oyster 3 GPS Tracker has a "deploy-once" battery life of over 10 years. It uses three user-replaceable lithium AA batteries. The recommended batteries are Lithium L92 AA, but alkaline batteries can be used for short-term deployments. The extended battery life makes it suitable for long-term tracking applications without the need for frequent battery replacements.
