To connect the Cerwin-Vega SL-15 Quad Center Channel Speaker to your audio system, follow these steps:
1. Determine the type of speaker wire connection you will be making. The most common connection is using bare wire.
2. Strip 1/2" to 5/8" (12 to 15mm) of insulation from the ends of the speaker cable to expose the bare wire. Twist the bare wires tightly.
3. Unscrew the binding-post cover on the speaker to expose a hole in the metal post.
4. Insert the bare wire or pin connector into the hole, making sure the positive terminal on the speaker connects to the positive terminal on the amplifier, and the negative terminal on the speaker connects to the negative terminal on the amplifier.
5. For split spade lug connections, simply place the 'U' shape against the metal post. For banana plugs, remove the plastic cover and insert into the top of the posts without unscrewing the binding post cover.
6. xxxx the binding-post cover so that the connection is securely touching the metal post and will not fall out.
Make sure to follow these steps for each speaker in your audio system. Refer to the owner's manual for your specific amplifier or receiver for any additional instructions or recommendations.
Note: The Cerwin-Vega SL-15 Quad Center Channel Speaker is not compatible with standard dual banana plugs.
