To connect the Klipsch KL-650-THX-L Left Speaker to your amplifier or receiver, follow these steps:
1. Make sure your amplifier or receiver is turned off and unplugged from the power source.
2. Identify the type of connector you will be using to connect the speaker to the amplifier. The speaker has two sets of binding posts, one for the tweeter and the other for the woofers. The most common types of connectors are bare wire, pins, and spade lugs.
3. If you are using bare wire, strip approximately 1/4-inch of insulation from the end of each conductor. Twist the strands of wire on each individual conductor tightly together.
4. Loosen the nuts on a pair of binding posts until the holes through the metal posts are exposed.
5. Insert the bare wire through the holes in the binding posts, making sure that no strands of wire are touching from one binding post to the other or to any strands from the other conductor.
6. xxxx the nuts down finger-tight on the wire.
7. Repeat steps 3-6 for the other set of binding posts.
8. If you are using pins or spade lugs, follow the same steps as above, but instead of inserting the bare wire, insert the pins or slip the spade lugs around the metal posts.
9. Make sure there is no metal-to-metal contact between the pins or spade lugs or between the binding posts.
10. Repeat steps 3-9 for the other set of binding posts.
11. Once both sets of binding posts are securely connected to the amplifier or receiver, double-check that the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals on the amplifier or receiver are correctly matched with the corresponding terminals on the speaker.
12. Once you have verified the connections, you can plug in and turn on your amplifier or receiver.
Note: It is important to keep the speakers in the same polarity or phase to ensure proper sound quality. Always connect the positive and negative output terminals on your amplifier or receiver to the matching input terminals on your speakers.
