The installation process for the Rockford Fosgate TMS6RG 6.5" Full Range Fairing Speakers depends on the specific model of your motorcycle. The manual provides detailed instructions for installing the speakers on different Harley-Davidson models, including Ultra Classic, Electra Glide, Street Glide, Tri Glide, Road Glide, and Road Glide Ultra. Here is a general overview of the installation process:
1. Fairing Removal: Remove the necessary screws and disconnect the harness to remove the front fairing from your motorcycle.
2. Speaker Removal: After removing the fairing, unplug the wires from the factory speaker terminals and remove the screws securing the factory speaker and grille.
3. Speaker Installation: Insert the new Rockford speaker and grille assembly into the fairing opening with the wire terminals facing up. Use the included screws to securely mount the speakers to the fairing. Connect the speakers by sliding the speaker wire connectors over the speaker terminals.
4. Rear Speaker Installation (for Tour-Pak models): Unscrew the speaker grilles from the rear pods and remove the factory speaker. Connect the new Rockford speaker by sliding the speaker wire connector over the speaker terminals. Insert the new speaker into the speaker pod and attach the grille with the included screws.
