To pair the Garmin Pro 550 Plus handheld device with the dog collar device, follow these steps:
1. Turn on the handheld device by pressing the power key.
2. Select a color with the toggle switch on the handheld device. This color will be associated with the dog collar device.
3. Turn the intensity dial to the "N" position.
4. Press the green tone key on the handheld device.
5. Press the top training key on the handheld device.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to select the type of dog wearing the collar (auto, tree, or point).
7. If the dog collar device is turned on, turn it off.
8. Hold the power key on the dog collar device until it emits two series of beeps (about 2 seconds), then release the power key.
9. The status LED on the dog collar device will flash rapidly green, indicating that it is ready to pair.
10. The handheld device will vibrate and display a checkmark on the screen when the pairing is successful.
Note: Make sure to obtain GPS signals on both devices before the handheld device displays the dog collar device's battery status, distance, and direction. You can do this by going outdoors to an open area and turning on both devices.
