1. Download the free Bushnell Trail Camera app on your smartphone from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android).
2. Open the app and sign in or create a new account.
3. Log in and click the Camera icon at the bottom of the screen, then click "+" to add a new camera.
4. Scan the QR code on the label inside your camera or manually enter its serial number to associate it with your account.
5. Remove the protective plastic covers from the camera lens and PIR sensor.
6. Install 12 AA batteries (Energizer lithium batteries are recommended) and make sure to position them correctly for polarity.
7. Install a new SD card, up to 32GB, preferably a high-speed card (class 6 or higher) if you plan to record video clips.
