To pair the Canon BR-E1 remote control with your camera, follow these steps:
1. Set the camera to the pairing standby mode. Select "Pairing" from the camera's menu screen. Refer to the Camera Instruction Manual for more details on accessing the pairing option.
2. Press and hold the "W" button and "T" button on the remote controller simultaneously for three seconds or more.
3. The indicator lamp on the remote controller will start blinking, indicating that the pairing process has started.
4. Once the pairing is complete, the indicator lamp will light up, and a message will be displayed on the camera's LCD monitor.
5. If the pairing fails, the lamp will blink rapidly. In such a case, press and hold the "W" button and "T" button again to retry the pairing process.
Note: Pairing with two or more cameras simultaneously is not possible. If you want to pair the remote controller with another camera, remove the registration of the remote controller from the previously paired camera and then pair it with the new camera. Also, make sure that the camera is not connected to a computer or GPS receiver with an interface cable during the pairing process.
For more detailed instructions and troubleshooting, refer to the BR-E1 section in the Camera Instruction Manual.
