To charge the battery pack for the Midland T77VP5 X-TALKER two-way radio, you can use the AC adapter that comes with the radio or an optional desktop charger. Here are the steps to charge the battery pack:
1. Place the rechargeable battery pack in the radio.
2. Connect the AC adapter into an AC wall outlet.
3. Insert the AC adapter plug into the radio charge jack or the desktop charger jack.
4. The LED indicator on the desktop charger will light up, indicating that the charging function is active.
5. It is recommended to charge the battery pack for at least 12 hours with the radio turned off to ensure a full charge.
6. Once the charge time expires, remove the radio from the charger.
Note: Only use the provided NiMH battery pack and AC adapter for charging. Do not attempt to charge alkaline batteries or any other batteries not specified in the manual, as it may cause damage to the radio. For long-term storage, turn off the radio and remove the batteries.
