To charge the batteries for the Sangean TB-100 TOUGHBOX Radio, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the radio is turned off.
2. Connect the AC power cord into the AC socket on the radio.
3. Ensure that the Charger/Batteries switch, located inside the battery compartment, is set to the Charger position.
4. The CHARGE LED indicator will start flashing, indicating that the radio is charging.
5. The LED indicator will stop flashing and remain on when the radio is fully charged. Charging time typically takes approximately 4-5 hours, depending on the capacity of the rechargeable batteries in use.
6. Once the batteries are fully charged, you can unplug the AC power cord and use the radio on battery power.
Note: The radio can only be charged when it is turned off. Make sure to switch the Charger/Batteries switch to the Charger position before charging.
