To play a CD on the Naxa Electronics NPB-240 Portable CD Boombox, follow these steps:

1. Make sure the boombox is connected to a power source. You can use either the included AC power cable or install 6 UM-2 "C" size batteries.

2. Open the CD compartment by lifting up the CD door latch located towards the front of the player.

3. Place a compatible CD into the compartment with the label facing up.

4. Close the CD compartment securely.

5. The boombox will attempt to read the disc. Wait until the LED screen shows the number of playable tracks on the disc.

6. Set the FUNCTION switch to the CD position.

7. Press the play button (labeled as [7]) to start playback. The LED screen will display the track number.

8. To pause playback, press the play button again. The LED screen will flash the track number.

9. To resume playback, press the play button again.

10. To stop playback, press the stop button (labeled as [6]).

11. To skip to the next track, press the forward button (labeled as [3]). The LED screen will change tracks accordingly.

12. To skip back to the previous track, press the rewind button (labeled as [5]). The LED screen will change tracks accordingly.

13. To scan through a track at high speed, press and hold the forward or rewind button during playback. Release the button to resume playback at normal speed.

16. If you want to create a custom playlist, you can use the Program function. Press the Program button (labeled as [8]) when the CD is stopped. Use the forward and rewind buttons to choose a track and press the Program button to save it into the playlist. Repeat this process to add more tracks, up to a maximum of 20. Press the play button to start playing the programmed tracks.
