To set up and calibrate the AcuRite Iris (5-in-1) Professional Weather Station with LCD Display, follow these steps:
1. Mounting the Sensor:
- Choose a location for the sensor that is at least 5 feet above the ground and away from any heat sources or reflective surfaces.
- Use the included mounting bracket and screws to securely attach the sensor to a pole or post.
- Ensure that the sensor is level and facing north.
2. Installing Batteries:
- Open the battery compartment on the sensor by sliding the cover down.
- Insert 4 AA batteries, observing the correct polarity.
- Close the battery compartment.
3. Connecting the Sensor to the Display:
- Insert the provided AC power adapter into the display's power jack.
- Connect the other end of the power adapter to a standard electrical outlet.
- The display will turn on automatically.
4. Setting the Time and Date:
- Press the "SET" button on the display to enter the setup mode.
- Use the up and down arrow buttons to select the "CLOCK" option and press "SET" again.
- Use the arrow buttons to adjust the time and date settings.
- Press "SET" to save each setting.
5. Calibrating the Temperature and Humidity:
- Press the "SET" button on the display to enter the setup mode.
- Use the arrow buttons to select the "CALIBRATION" option and press "SET" again.
- Use the arrow buttons to select either "TEMPERATURE" or "HUMIDITY" and press "SET".
- Use the arrow buttons to adjust the calibration offset and press "SET" to save.
