To connect the Polk R350 Center Channel Loudspeaker to your audio system, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the wire: Strip 0.5” (12.7mm) of insulation from each of the two conductors of the wire to expose the bare metal. Twist each of the individual conductors into single un-frayed strands.
2. Identify the terminals: On the rear of the speaker, you will find two terminals marked red (+) and black (-).
3. Connect the wire: Connect the wire from the positive (+) terminal of your amplifier or receiver to the red (+) terminal on the speaker. Connect the wire from the negative (-) terminal of your amplifier or receiver to the black (-) terminal on the speaker. Ensure that the wire is securely connected to each terminal.
4. Secure the connection: If using binding posts, unscrew the binding post cap and insert the bare wire into the hole near the base of the binding post. Tighten the binding post cap until it seats firmly with the wire, but do not over tighten. If using connectors, follow the instructions provided with the connectors to attach the wire to the speaker.
5. Repeat for additional speakers: If you have multiple speakers in your setup, repeat the above steps for each speaker, ensuring that the positive and negative connections are correct for each speaker.
6. Set up the system: Once all the speakers are connected, refer to your amplifier or receiver's manual for instructions on setting up your audio system. This may include configuring speaker settings, adjusting volume levels, and setting crossover frequencies.
