To connect your Samsung HW-J650 soundbar to your TV, you have a few options depending on the available connectivity options on your TV.
1. HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) Connection:
- Check if your TV has an HDMI ARC port. This port is usually labeled as "ARC" or "HDMI ARC."
- Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC port on your TV and the other end to the HDMI OUT (TV-ARC) port on the soundbar.
- Make sure the HDMI-CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) feature is enabled on both your TV and soundbar. This allows the devices to communicate with each other.
- Set your TV's audio output to "External Speaker" or "Audio System" to route the sound to the soundbar.
2. Optical Connection:
- If your TV doesn't have an HDMI ARC port, you can use the optical audio output.
- Connect one end of an optical cable to the optical audio output on your TV and the other end to the OPTICAL IN port on the soundbar.
- Set your TV's audio output to "External Speaker" or "Audio System" to route the sound to the soundbar.
3. Bluetooth Connection:
- The Samsung HW-J650 soundbar also supports wireless Bluetooth connectivity.
- Enable Bluetooth on your TV and put the soundbar into Bluetooth pairing mode. Refer to the user manual for instructions on how to do this.
- On your TV, search for Bluetooth devices and select the soundbar from the list.
- Once connected, the audio from your TV will be transmitted wirelessly to the soundbar.
