To install the Rockville RSM65W Waterproof Shallow Slim Marine Boat Speakers, follow these steps:
1. Determine the mounting location: Choose a suitable location on your boat where you want to install the speakers. Ensure that the area is dry and free from any obstructions.
2. Prepare the mounting surface: Clean the mounting surface thoroughly to remove any dirt or debris. Ensure that the surface is smooth and flat for proper installation.
3. Mount the speakers: Place the speakers on the mounting surface and align them according to your preference. Use the pre-installed mounting screws included with the speakers to secure them in place. Make sure the speakers are firmly attached to avoid any vibrations or movement.
4. Wiring connections: Connect the positive terminal of each speaker to the positive terminal on the amplifier. Likewise, connect the negative terminal of each speaker to the negative terminal on the amplifier. Ensure that the wiring connections are secure and properly insulated to prevent any short circuits or damage.
5. Power and impedance considerations: The Rockville RSM65W speakers have a power rating of 160 Watts Peak / 40 Watts RMS per speaker and an impedance of 4 Ohms. Make sure your amplifier's power output does not exceed 640 watts and is not less than 5 watts RMS to avoid damaging the speakers.
6. Test the speakers: Once the installation is complete, turn on your audio system and play some music to test the speakers. Adjust the volume and settings according to your preference.
