To connect your NEC VT595 XGA LCD Projector to your computer, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that both the projector and the computer are turned off.
2. Locate the computer's video output port. This is usually a VGA or HDMI port on the back or side of the computer.
3. Connect one end of the appropriate video cable (VGA or HDMI) to the computer's video output port.
4. Locate the corresponding video input port on the projector. This is usually labeled "Computer In" or "VGA In."
5. Connect the other end of the video cable to the projector's video input port.
6. If you are using a VGA cable, also connect the audio cable from the computer's audio output port to the projector's audio input port.
7. Once all the connections are made, turn on the projector and the computer.
8. On the projector's remote control, press the "Input" button to select the appropriate input source (e.g., Computer).
9. On the computer, adjust the display settings to match the projector's native resolution (XGA in this case). This can usually be done through the computer's display settings or graphics control panel.
