To install the Rockford Fosgate M2WL-65MB Marine Tower Speakers, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal before installation to prevent damage to the unit, fire, or possible injury.
2. Carefully read and understand the instructions provided in the user manual before attempting to install the speakers.
3. Determine the mounting location for the speakers, ensuring there is sufficient clearance in all directions for the speaker to swivel and rotate without obstruction.
4. Mark the location where the wiring will come out near the mounting location. Drill a 7/16" hole in the marked location for the wire exit.
5. Insert the supplied grommet and feed the wire harness through the hole. Make sure to observe proper polarity when connecting the wires. The speaker harness's negative wire is the BLACK (18 AWG) wire, and the positive wire is the RED (18 AWG) wire in the 6-pin connector.
6. Remove the plastic cover over the safety Torx bolt to access and adjust the angle of the wake can. Use the included Safety Torx Wrench to tighten the can to the clamp and prevent swiveling. Replace the plastic cover over the safety Torx bolt.
7. Rotate the medallion on the rear of the wake can to align it with the desired image. The medallion can be turned left or right, and you will hear/feel clicking when rotating it.
8. If you need to rotate the speaker, remove the (6) screws holding the speaker and grill on. Pull the speaker slightly towards you and rotate it until it aligns with the desired image. Use the predrilled holes to reinstall the speaker.
