To connect the Pyle PSUB8A Active Down Firing Subwoofer to your audio system, you have a few options depending on the available connections on your receiver.
1. Line Level Inputs: If your receiver has RCA pre-out or preamplifier outputs, you can use the line level inputs on the subwoofer. Connect the RCA cables from the pre-out or preamplifier outputs of your receiver to the RCA inputs on the subwoofer.
2. High Level Inputs: If your receiver does not have RCA pre-out or preamplifier outputs, you can use the high-level (speaker) inputs on the subwoofer. Connect the speaker wire from the receiver's speaker outputs to the high-level inputs on the subwoofer. Make sure to insert the speaker wire securely into the terminals.
3. High Level Outputs: The subwoofer also has high-level outputs that can be used to connect to main speakers or another powered subwoofer with high-level inputs. These outputs are paralleled to the high-level inputs with no high pass filter.
Note: Adjust the crossover frequency control on the subwoofer to achieve the desired blend between the subwoofer and other speakers. The gain control can be used to adjust the output level of the subwoofer. The phase switch can be selected between 0° and 180° to assist with subwoofer placement.
Please refer to the instruction manual for more detailed information and diagrams on how to connect the subwoofer to your specific audio system.
