The CERWIN Vega XED52 coaxial speakers can be installed in multiple locations in your car. It is important to isolate the front sound waves of the speaker from its rear sound waves by securely mounting the speaker to a flat surface known as a baffle. Here are the installation steps:
1. Tweeter Installation: You can flush mount or surface mount the tweeters. Make sure the desired location can accommodate the hole sizes and depth required. The flush mount bezel requires cutting a 1.75 (45mm) round opening. Mount the tweeter cup using the provided hardware. Route speaker wires through the tweeter cup, connect the tweeter to the wires, and snap the tweeter into the cup.
2. Crossover Installation: Install the passive crossovers in a well-ventilated area whenever possible. If you need to install them in the doors, ensure they are installed behind the door panel instead of inside the door itself. Connect the input side labeled "AMP" of each passive crossover to the amplifier's speaker output terminals. Connect the middle terminals labeled "MID" to the midrange speaker. Connect the end terminals labeled "TWT" to the tweeter.
3. Speaker Installation: Your new speakers can be mounted in the rear deck of your vehicle using either top or bottom mounting. Top mounting requires dropping the speakers in through the deck, while bottom mounting secures the speakers from underneath. Ensure a good seal around the frame for the best performance.
Please refer to the operational guide for more detailed instructions and illustrations on the installation process.
Note: It is highly recommended to have your new speakers installed by an authorized Cerwin Vega Mobile dealer for professional assembly and ideal sound quality.
