To connect the Bose Acoustimass 5 Series V Stereo Speaker System to your TV, you will need to use a receiver or amplifier. Here are the step-by-step instructions:
1. Connect the speakers to the Acoustimass module:
a. Insert the left speaker cable's L plug into the left speaker, with the label facing down.
b. Insert the right speaker cable's R plug into the right speaker, with the label facing down.
c. Connect the other end of the left speaker cable to the L (left) OUTPUTS TO CUBE SPEAKERS terminal on the connector panel of the Acoustimass module.
d. Repeat step c for the right speaker cable, connecting its wires to the R (right) terminal.
2. Connect the Acoustimass module to your receiver or amplifier:
a. Connect the speaker wires without plugs to the INPUTS FROM AMP OR RECEIVER terminals on the Acoustimass module's rear panel.
b. Connect the marked wire to the positive (+) terminal of the L (left) pair of input terminals.
c. Connect the unmarked wire to the negative (-) terminal of the L (left) pair of input terminals.
d. Repeat steps b and c with the other speaker wire for the R (right) pair of input terminals.
e. Connect the other ends of the cables to the speaker terminals of your amplifier or receiver.
f. Connect the marked wire connected to the L (left) pair of input terminals on the module to the LEFT positive (+) terminal on your amplifier or receiver.
g. Connect the unmarked wire connected to the L (left) pair of input terminals on the module to the LEFT negative (-) terminal on your amplifier or receiver.
h. Repeat steps f and g with the wire connected to the R (right) pair of input terminals on your Acoustimass module and the RIGHT pair of input terminals on your amplifier or receiver.
3. Set up your TV and receiver or amplifier:
a. Connect your TV to your receiver or amplifier according to the instructions provided with your TV and receiver or amplifier.
b. Make sure your TV and receiver or amplifier are powered on.
4. Adjust the settings on your TV and receiver or amplifier:
a. Use your TV's menu or settings to select the appropriate audio output option. This may be labeled as "external speakers" or "audio output."
b. Use your receiver or amplifier's controls to adjust the volume and other audio settings as desired.
