I can't find any information on how to change the batteries in the thermostat. I want to make sure I do it correctly without damaging the unit.

To change the batteries in the Honeywell TH6110D1005/U Wall Thermostat, follow these steps:
1. Locate the battery compartment on the upper right side of the thermostat.
2. Press down on the compartment where it is marked "press" and rotate it slightly to the right.
3. Pull the battery compartment out to access the batteries.
4. Remove the old batteries and dispose of them properly.
5. Insert new AA alkaline batteries into the battery compartment, making sure to align the positive (+) and negative (-) ends correctly.
6. Push the battery compartment back into place until it snaps securely.
7. The thermostat will automatically switch to battery power if there is a power outage or if the AC power is disconnected.
