I don't have a C wire connected to my HVAC system. I want to know how long the battery in the Google Nest Thermostat will last without a C wire connection.

The Nest Thermostat (2020) has a backup battery. For systems that are not using a C wire, the average battery life is three to six months. However, depending on the Wi-Fi activity on the thermostat, it may be possible to extend or reduce the battery life. It's recommended to monitor the battery level in the Google Home app and replace the batteries when needed to ensure uninterrupted operation.
