1. Plug the Linksys RE6350 into a power outlet halfway between your router and the area with weak Wi-Fi signal.
2. Connect your wireless computer or tablet to the range extender's default Wi-Fi name, "Linksys Extender Setup," using a strong Wi-Fi signal from your router.
3. Open a web browser and enter "http://extender.linksys.com" or "192.168.1.1" in the Address bar, then press Enter.
4. Read and agree to the End User License Agreement, then click Start Setup.
5. Select your Wi-Fi name from the list and enter your Network Password or security key, then click Next.
6. If you want to personalize the set Network name, Password, and Security mode of your range extender's 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, enter and select them in the provided fields. Otherwise, click Next.
7. The Spot Finder page will appear. This feature helps determine the signal strength between your range extender and your router. If needed, click the "Find better location" button and follow the on-screen instructions. Once done, click the Back link to proceed.
8. Create and confirm your admin password, and optionally add a password hint for easier recovery. Click Save.
9. Enter your Email Address to register your range extender. You can also opt-in for special offers and updates from Linksys. Click Next.
10. The range extender will go through a firmware checkup. If a new firmware is available, it will proceed with the update. Otherwise, it will proceed to the next step.
11. Connect your device to the range extender's Wi-Fi name, and once the "Next" button turns blue, click on it.
12. Congratulations! You have successfully set up your Linksys RE6350 AC1200 Wi-Fi Range Extender. You can click the Print button or take note of the settings.
