Proper speaker placement is crucial for achieving optimal sound quality with the Cerwin Vega SL28 2-Way Floor Speakers. Here are some guidelines to follow:
1. For left and right front channels, place the speakers so they are an equal distance from each other and the ideal listening position. The tweeter should be at ear level when seated.
2. Avoid placing any objects on top of the speakers, as they can affect the natural sound and potentially cause damage.
3. Keep the path from the speakers to the listening area free from obstructions such as furniture or potted plants.
4. If the room has reflective surfaces like plaster walls or wood floors, consider adding drapes or sound-absorbing panels to reduce echoes.
5. Cerwin-Vega! speakers can produce intense low frequencies, so be aware of any rattles or buzzes coming from furniture or other objects. Reposition or remove any items that may be causing vibration.
6. If the bass is too prominent, try moving the speakers away from the walls. If you want more bass, move the speakers closer to the rear walls. For good stereo imaging, keep the speakers about 1-1/2 feet away from the sidewalls and 1 foot out from the rear wall. The distance between the speakers should be about 6 feet.
