Setting up the IHEYTEK 1200Mbps WiFi Extender is a simple process. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Plug the WiFi extender into an electrical outlet within range of your existing WiFi router.
2. Wait for the power indicator light on the extender to turn solid.
3. On your device (computer, smartphone, tablet), go to the WiFi settings and connect to the WiFi network named "iHey-2G" or "iHey-5G", depending on the band you want to extend.
4. Once connected, open a web browser and enter "http://ap.setup" or "http://192.168.10.1" in the address bar.
5. You will be directed to the extender's setup page. Follow the on-screen instructions to configure the extender.
6. During the setup process, you will be prompted to select the WiFi network you want to extend. Choose your existing WiFi network and enter the password.
7. After completing the setup, the extender will restart and connect to your existing WiFi network.
8. Move the extender to a location where you want to extend the WiFi signal. Make sure it is within range of your existing WiFi router.
9. Plug the extender into an electrical outlet in the desired location.
10. Wait for the extender to establish a connection with your existing WiFi network. The connection status indicator light on the extender will turn solid.
11. You can now connect your devices to the extended WiFi network.
