To install the Monoprice 104006 Recessed Low Voltage Cable Wall Plate, follow these steps:
1. Determine the location of your flat panel TV mounting bracket and use the template provided to trace the opening needed on the wall.
2. Cut a hole in the drywall the size of the template using a drywall knife.
3. Insert a single gang retrofit workbox securely into the wall at the desired location.
4. Switch off the appropriate circuit breaker or remove the fuse before wiring.
5. Run a source of power to the workbox and connect the hotline (black) wire to the brass-colored terminal or xxxx , and the neutral (white) wire to the silver-colored terminal or xxxx . Make sure to connect the grounding (green) or bare grounding wire to a green-colored terminal xxxx for proper grounding.
6. Once the wiring is complete, insert the receptacle portion of the plate into the retrofit workbox.
7. Ensure that the entire recessed plate is flush to the wall and use the two white screws provided to xxxx the receptacle portion of the plate to the workbox.
8. xxxx down the screws with wings tightly against the back of the drywall.
9. Switch on the appropriate circuit breaker or insert the fuse.
10. Plug all necessary video and audio cables into the wall plate.
11. Install your flat panel TV mounting bracket according to the manufacturer's instructions.
