To install the Earykong TYSM_01 Tuya WiFi Smoke Alarm Fire Protection Smoke Detector, follow these steps:
1. Determine the mounting location: The preferred location is in the center of the ceiling, as smoke, heat, and combustible products rise and spread laterally. Keep at least 30cm distance from lights or decorations, and at least 15cm away from walls and corners. If the ceiling is sloping, install the smoke sensor at a horizontal distance of 90cm away from the ceiling top.
2. Prepare the battery: Rotate the mounting bracket clockwise to remove it and access the battery compartment. The smoke detector requires 2 AAA batteries (not included). Insert the batteries, ensuring the LED indicator turns on and then off.
3. Download the app: Download the "TuyaSmart" app on your iOS or Android device. You can find the app by searching for "TuyaSmart" or "Smart life" in your app store. Alternatively, you can scan the provided QR code to download the app.
4. Register and log in: Open the app and register a Tuya Smart app account using your mobile phone number. Once registered, log in to the app.
5. Add the device: In the app, click the "+" button in the "My Home" section or the mid-blank space to add a device. Choose "Security Sensor" and select "Sensor (WiFi)".
6. Network configuration: Press and hold the RESET button on the smoke detector for more than 5 seconds using a PIN. The LED indicator will flash quickly, indicating that the device is in network configuration mode. Input your WiFi network credentials in the app to connect the smoke detector to your WiFi network.
7. Test the smoke detector: After successfully configuring the network, click on the smoke detector in the app. Long-press the TEST button on the smoke detector, and the buzzer will produce a DI DI sound. The app will receive a notification stating "Detecting smoke". Release the TEST button, and the app will show "No Smoke Detected".
Note: The mute function should only be used when there is no real danger of fire. Do not block or prohibit alarming under known and non-fire alarm conditions. Press the Test/Mute button to lower sensitivity and relieve the alarm. Avoid using a flame for testing.
