To install the JBL 19CS 8-Inch Ceiling Subwoofer, follow these steps:

2. Insert Backing Hardware: Depending on your ceiling type, insert either the C-shaped backing-plate bracket or the tile rails through the cut hole in the ceiling tile. Secure the backing hardware in place using screws.
3. Connect the Wiring: Strip the insulation back about 5 mm (about 3/16 inch) from the wiring and insert the bare end of the wire into the removable locking connector that is included with the speaker. Tighten the hold-down xxxx until tight using a small flatblade screwdriver.
4. Plug Connector into Speaker: Plug the connector into the connector socket in the speaker's terminal cup.
5. Tighten the Strain Relief Fitting & Close the Terminal Cover: Slide the wiring through the strain relief fitting on the terminal cover plate. Tighten the strain relief fitting onto the wiring by tightening the screws. Close the hinged terminal cover and secure it in place with the hold-down xxxx .
6. Insert the Speaker Into the Ceiling and Tighten: Insert the speaker into the ceiling until the front baffle rim touches the ceiling. Turn the attachment screws to tighten the mounting tabs.
7. Connect a Secondary Support Line (if required): If your construction codes require it, connect a support line to the tab provided on the back of the speaker for a secondary support point.
8. Adjust Tap Selector (for "T" Versions Only): If you have a "T" version model (such as the Control 19CST), adjust the tap selector switch on the front baffle before inserting the grille.
9. Insert the Grille: Press the grille into place until the front of the grille is flush with the rim. Ensure that the grille is securely seated.
