To install the Polk Audio DB402 Coaxial Speakers with Marine Certification, you can follow the instructions provided in the operational guide. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Basic coaxial connection: Connect the speaker wires to the appropriate terminals on the speakers and connect the other end to your audio source.
2. Mounting the speakers:
- Flush Mount Tweeter Mounting: Mark the center of the spot where you want to mount the tweeter and cut a 2" diameter hole. Assemble the flush mount cup, clamp, and machine xxxx loosely. Route the wires through the round opening in the bottom of the cup. Press the assembly into the hole and tighten the xxxx . Connect the wires from the tweeter terminals of the crossover to the tweeter using faston connectors. Mount the tweeter by snapping it into the mounting cup.
- Surface Mount Tweeter Mounting: Use the base of the surface mount cup as a template to mark and drill the xxxx holes. Drill a second hole for the speaker wire. xxxx the surface mount cup to the panel. Push the tweeter wires through the open area at the bottom of the cup and through the hole in the panel. Connect the wires from the tweeter terminals of the crossover to the tweeter wires using faston connectors. Mount the tweeter by snapping it into the mounting cup.
3. Follow the wiring diagrams provided in the manual to ensure proper connections.
