To connect the Earthquake Sound MiniMe subwoofer to your audio system, you have a few options depending on the outputs available on your system. Here are the different connection methods outlined in the manual:
1. Line Level RCA Inputs: If your audio system has RCA line-level outputs, you can connect them to the line level RCA inputs on the subwoofer using RCA patch cords. Simply connect the left output of your audio system to the left input of the subwoofer, and the right output to the right input. Make sure to use quality shielded RCA cables for optimal performance.
2. Subwoofer Output (LFE): If your audio system has a dedicated subwoofer output labeled LFE (Low-Frequency Effects), you can connect it directly to the subwoofer's left (mono) input. This is the simplest and recommended connection method. The subwoofer will play the low-frequency range, while your main speakers will handle the rest of the frequency range.
3. Speaker Level Inputs: If your audio system does not have a subwoofer output or line-level outputs, you can use the speaker level inputs on the subwoofer. This method allows the subwoofer to receive a sample of the signal going to your front speakers. Connect the speaker level inputs to the speaker-level outputs of your amplifier or receiver using speaker wire. Make sure to connect the positive and negative terminals correctly.
It's important to note that the manual recommends using the line level inputs whenever possible for optimal performance. However, if you experience excessive noise or hum with the line level input, you can use the speaker level inputs as an alternative.
Please refer to the manual for more detailed instructions and diagrams on how to make these connections.
