Proper maintenance and cleaning of your Shure SE215 PRO Wired Earbuds are essential for maintaining a tight seal between the sleeve and nozzle, improving sound quality, and ensuring product safety. Here are the steps to clean and maintain your earbuds:
1. Keep the earphones and sleeves as clean and dry as possible.
2. To clean the sleeves, remove them from the earphones and gently rinse them in warm water. Air dry the sleeves thoroughly before reusing them. Note that foam sleeves may require a longer drying time.
3. Inspect the sleeves for any damage, and if necessary, replace them with new ones.
4. Wipe the earphones and sleeves with a mild antiseptic to avoid infections. Avoid using alcohol-based disinfectants.
5. Do not expose the earphones to extreme temperatures.
6. If the cable connectors collect debris or other deposits that may affect audio quality, disconnect the cables and clean them using a dry cotton swab.
7. If you notice a change in sound quality, remove the sleeve and check the nozzle of your earphone. If the nozzle is blocked, clear the obstruction using the wire loop end of the cleaning tool provided.
