Yes, the Anker 4-port USB 3.0 Hub is backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices. This means that USB 2.0 devices (or even the original USB 1.0/1.1 devices) will function at the speed they were intended for. So, older devices won't be "sped up" by using this hub.
