To install the On-Q Legrand 7000 Series In-Wall Speakers, follow these steps:
1. Determine the ideal placement for the speakers in your room. In-wall speakers should be placed at ear level when seated, typically 38 to 42 inches from the floor.
2. Cut a hole in the wall using a template provided with the speakers or by tracing the speaker's outline. Ensure that there are no electrical wires or plumbing behind the wall before cutting.
3. Connect the speaker wires to the terminals on the back of the speakers. Make sure to match the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals correctly.
4. Insert the speakers into the wall opening and secure them using the mounting brackets provided. Ensure that the speakers are flush with the wall surface.
5. Connect the other end of the speaker wires to your audio receiver or amplifier. Follow the receiver's manual for proper connection instructions.
6. Test the speakers by playing audio through them. Adjust the volume levels as desired using the volume control on your audio receiver or amplifier.
