To pair your device with the iHome iBT4 Bluetooth speaker, follow these steps:
1. Turn on your Bluetooth-enabled device and enable Bluetooth capability as described in your device's user manual.
2. Turn the Power/Mode Dial on the iBT4 to the ON position.
3. Press and hold the Pairing/Play Pause Button on the iBT4 for 2 seconds to initiate the pairing process. The display will show "PAIR" to indicate the pairing attempt.
4. On your device, go to the Bluetooth settings menu and select "iHome iBT4" from the list of available devices. If prompted for a password, enter either "1234" or "0000".
5. If the pairing is successful, the PAIR indicator on the iBT4 display will stop flashing and the Bluetooth icon will remain. Some devices may require you to select "Use as Audio Device" or a similar option in the Bluetooth menu.
6. Once paired, your device should automatically connect to the iBT4 whenever it is within range (approximately 30 feet).
If you are still experiencing issues with pairing, try the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Make sure your device is working properly and has Bluetooth functionality.
2. Ensure that the iBT4 is fully charged or connected to a power source.
3. Turn off Bluetooth on any previously paired devices that may be interfering with the pairing process.
4. Reset the iBT4 by pressing and holding the FORWARD Button and the PLAY/PAUSE Button together for 8 seconds. This will restore the speaker to factory settings.
5. If none of the above steps resolve the issue, refer to the user manual or contact iHome customer support for further assistance.
