To connect your Samsung HW-J470 Soundbar to your TV, you have a few options depending on the available connections on your TV.
1. HDMI Connection:
- Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT (TV-ARC) port on the soundbar.
- Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) port on your TV.
- Make sure the HDMI-CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) function is enabled on both the soundbar and your TV. This allows the soundbar to automatically turn on and off with the TV and control the volume using your TV remote.
2. Optical Connection:
- Connect one end of an optical cable to the OPTICAL OUT port on your TV.
- Connect the other end of the optical cable to the OPTICAL IN port on the soundbar.
- Set the sound output of your TV to "Optical" or "External Speaker" in the TV's audio settings menu.
3. Bluetooth Connection:
- Enable Bluetooth on your TV and the soundbar.
- On the soundbar, press the Source button on the remote control or the soundbar itself until "BT" appears on the display.
- On your TV, search for available Bluetooth devices and select the soundbar from the list.
