To activate the volume limiter on the KidJamz 3 headphones, locate the volume limiter switch on the headphones. There are two positions for the switch: volume-limited (85dB) and unlimited. Using a long and thin object, such as a toothpick, you can switch between the two positions. The volume-limited position is designated by the symbol, and the unlimited position is designated by the absence of any symbol. By default, the headphones are set to the volume-limited mode to protect young ears. However, if you wish to use the headphones in unlimited mode, set the volume on the connected device (phone, computer, or mp3 player) to the minimum before connecting the headphones. Gradually raise the volume until you reach an acceptable level. It is important to note that using headphones at higher volume levels for extended periods of time may result in listening fatigue and hearing damage. Therefore, it is recommended that children take a 10-minute break every hour of listening in unlimited mode.
