To connect the FH56-BAR Sound Bar to your receiver/amplifier, follow these steps:
1. Identify the channels on the back of the speaker: The speaker has labeled terminals for each channel (A, B, C, D, E).
2. For 3-channel mode (front channels): Connect the left front channel (A), center (B), and right front channel (C) on your receiver/amplifier to the corresponding terminals on the speaker.
3. For 5-channel mode: In addition to the connections described above, also connect the right rear surround (D) and left rear surround (E) on your receiver/amplifier to the corresponding terminals on the speaker.
4. Use appropriate wire gauge: For optimal performance, use a minimum of 18-gauge wire for runs up to 15 feet and 16-gauge wire for distances greater than 15 feet. Make sure to connect the wire with the same coded side to positive (+) and the other coded side to negative (-) for all terminals. This ensures proper bass and imaging. Common wire coded indicators include colors, printing, or upraised ridges.
5. Insert speaker wire into the binding posts: Push down on the gold-plated binding posts on the speaker to insert the speaker wire into the holes.
