If your TV does not have an HDMI eARC or ARC port, you can still connect the Polk MagniFi Mini AX Sound Bar using an optical cable. However, please note that an optical connection does not support Roku TV Ready or Dolby Atmos and DTS:X audio formats. To connect the sound bar to your TV using an optical cable, follow these steps:
1. Locate the optical output port on your TV. It is usually labeled as "Optical Out" or "Digital Audio Out."
2. Connect one end of the optical cable to the optical output port on your TV.
3. Connect the other end of the optical cable to the optical input port on the back of the sound bar.
4. Make sure the sound bar and TV are powered on.
5. Use your TV remote to navigate to the audio settings. Select the option to output audio through the optical connection.
6. Adjust the volume on the sound bar and TV as desired.
