To connect external devices to the BenQ HT8050 projector, please follow these steps:
1. Check the available ports on the projector. The HT8050 comes with various input ports, including HDMI, component video, composite video, and PC (VGA) input.
2. Determine the type of connection you want to use. HDMI is the most common and recommended connection for high-definition devices.
3. Connect the HDMI cable (not included) from the HDMI output port of your device (e.g., Blu-ray player, gaming console, or streaming device) to the HDMI input port on the projector. Make sure both ends of the cable are securely plugged in.
4. If you are using a component video connection, connect the component video cables (not included) to the corresponding color-coded ports on both the device and the projector. Use the red, green, and blue connectors for video signals and the red and white connectors for audio signals.
5. For composite video connection, use the yellow video cable (not included) to connect the video output port of your device to the yellow composite video input port on the projector. Connect the red and white audio cables (not included) to their respective ports for audio.
6. If you are using a PC (VGA) connection, connect the VGA cable (not included) from the VGA output port of your computer to the VGA input port on the projector. Additionally, connect the audio cable (not included) from the audio output port of your computer to the audio input port on the projector.
7. Once the connections are made, turn on the projector and the external device. Use the projector's remote control to select the appropriate input source. Press the "Source" button and navigate to the desired input (e.g., HDMI, component, composite, or PC).
8. Adjust the settings on your external device to output the appropriate resolution and aspect ratio for optimal viewing on the projector.
