Sure! Here's a step-by-step guide to setting up your YI 86002 Security Camera Outdoor:
1. Download the YI Home App: Scan the QR code provided in the manual to download the YI Home App on your smartphone. If you already have the app, make sure it's updated to the latest version.
2. Register or Log in: Open the YI Home App and either register a new YI account or log in to your existing account.
3. Add the Camera: After logging in, tap the '+' icon on the top right of the screen to add a new device. Select "YI Outdoor Camera" and follow the on-screen instructions.
4. Connect to Wi-Fi: Enter your Wi-Fi network's SSID and password when prompted. Use your YI Outdoor Camera to scan the QR code displayed on your smartphone screen. Once the camera successfully scans the QR code, tap "Next Step" to finish the pairing process.
5. Mount the Camera: Plan the route of the cable from the power outlet to the camera before mounting it outside. Use the base's xxxx holes as a template to mark the drill spots. Remove the base, drill the holes, and attach the base using the screws. If mounting on a wooden wall, you can xxxx the mount directly to the wall. Use the clip to fasten the power cords, ensuring they are not fastened too tightly. Attach the camera to the mounted base.
6. Adjust Camera Angle: Ensure your camera can connect to the nearest Wi-Fi spot. If you've successfully paired your camera with your smartphone, it will automatically connect to Wi-Fi when powered on. Preview the video on your smartphone and adjust the camera angle to a suitable position. Tightly lock the universal ball mount.
7. Additional Tips: When mounting the camera, avoid direct sunlight and any objects that may obstruct the view. It's recommended to mount the camera within a 10-meter range of your router. If you experience issues with video preview, adjust the position of your router.
