According to the instruction manual, hand cranking the C. Crane CCRadio Solar Wind-Up Portable Emergency Crank Digital Radio AM for 10 minutes results in a 1 percent charge. However, just 1% charge can provide almost 40 minutes of radio time. The hand crank charger has built-in voltage regulators to keep the current stable, even if the voltage generated varies depending on how quickly you turn the crank. The longer you crank, the more power is produced.
