To connect the Yamaha NS-SW1000 subwoofer to your amplifier, you have two options depending on the type of output terminals your amplifier has.
Option 1: Connecting to line output (pin jack) terminals of the amplifier
1. Use a commercially available mono pin cable to connect the SUBWOOFER (or LOW PASS) terminal on the rear of the amplifier to the /MONO INPUT2 terminal of the subwoofer.
2. Alternatively, if your amplifier has split subwoofer terminals (L and R channels), use a commercially available audio pin cable to connect the /MONO INPUT2 terminal to the "L" side and the INPUT2 terminal to the "R" side of the split subwoofer terminals.
Option 2: Connecting to speaker output terminals of the amplifier
1. Use speaker cables to connect the speaker output terminals of the amplifier to the INPUT1 (FROM AMPLIFIER) terminals of the subwoofer.
2. Connect the front speakers to the OUTPUT (TO SPEAKERS) terminals of the subwoofer.
Note: Make sure to observe the "+" and "-" polarity markings of the speaker cables and connect them correctly. Also, ensure that the bare speaker wires do not touch each other to avoid damage to the subwoofer or amplifier.
