To connect the Polk Elite ES30 Signature Center Channel Speaker to your audio system, follow these steps:
1. Wire Preparation: Strip 1/2" (12.7mm) of insulation from each of the two conductors of the wire to expose the bare metal. Twist each of the individual conductors into single unfrayed strands.
2. Speaker Wire Connection: Connect the wire from the positive (+) terminal of your amplifier or receiver to the red (+) terminal on the speaker. Connect the wire from the negative (-) terminal of your amplifier or receiver to the black (-) terminal on the speaker. Make sure to maintain consistency with the wire connections.
3. Binding Posts: To connect the wire to the binding post, unscrew the binding post cap and insert the bare wire into the hole near the base of the binding post. Do not insert the insulated part of the wire into the hole. Tighten the binding post cap until it seats firmly with the wire, but do not over tighten.
4. Optional Connectors: You have several options when choosing connectors for your speaker wires, such as banana plugs, spade lugs, or bare wire. Choose the connector type that suits your preference. Banana plugs can be used with the Signature Series binding posts by prying out the binding post plugs to expose the banana plug holes.
5. Repeat for Multiple Speakers: If you have multiple Polk Elite ES30 Signature Center Channel Speakers or other speakers in your system, repeat the above steps for each speaker.
