To connect the pendant speaker to your amplifier, follow these steps:
1. Power off and unplug all equipment before making any connections.
2. Determine the number of speakers in your speaker array and the RMS output power of your amplifier.
3. Divide the Maximum Wattage Value (MWV) of each speaker array by the number of speakers to determine the Maximum Wattage Setting (MWS) for each speaker.
4. Strip about 1/4" insulation from each end of the speaker wire and twist the strands to prevent short circuits.
5. Connect the negative conductor of the input and output wires to the negative terminal on the speaker, and the positive conductor to the positive terminal.
6. Set the tap dial on the speaker to a wattage value that is less than the MWS calculated in step 3. Use either the 70V or 100V value, depending on your amplifier's output voltage.
7. Attach the speaker cover and secure it with the included eye bolt and nut.
8. Feed the hanging cable through the eye bolt and wrap it around the pole or through another eye bolt for suspension.
9. Gently release the speaker to ensure it is securely suspended.
10. Repeat the above steps for each speaker in your speaker array.
11. Connect the positive and negative conductors of the speaker wire from the first speaker to the corresponding speaker terminals on your amplifier.
12. Set the volume level on your amplifier to the minimum setting.
13. Power on your amplifier and gradually increase the volume until it reaches a comfortable listening level.
