The Monitor Audio Silver 500 New 7G speakers can be set up on both wooden/hard floors and carpeted floors. Here's how to set them up:
For Wooden/Hard Floors:
1. Ensure that the foam gasket on the outrigger is placed on the cabinet.
2. Fix the feet and outriggers to the speaker base using the supplied bolts and hex keys.
3. Use a spirit level to check if the speaker is level on all sides. If it's slightly off-level, unscrew the foot at the lowest point and adjust until the cabinet is fully level.
4. Use the locking nuts on each foot to fix the feet in place and prevent unwanted vibrations.
For Carpeted Floors:
1. xxxx the spike into the foot and outrigger assembly.
2. Fix the feet and outriggers to the speaker base using the supplied bolts and hex keys.
3. Use a spirit level to check if the speaker is level on all sides. If it's slightly off-level, unscrew the foot at the lowest point and adjust until the cabinet is fully level.
4. Use the locking nuts on each foot to fix the feet in place and prevent unwanted vibrations.
5. Make sure there are no hidden wires under the carpet that could be damaged by the spikes.
