Installation of the Acoustic Audio by Goldwood R191 2 Way Home Theater speakers is relatively straightforward. Here are the step-by-step instructions:
1. Determine the mounting location: Choose the location where you want to install the speakers. Ensure that the location is suitable and provides the best stereo effect.
2. Drill the cutout hole: Once you have determined the mounting location, drill a cutout hole for each speaker. Be careful not to drill through any existing wires, pipes, or structures.
3. Route the loudspeaker wire: At each speaker location, route the loudspeaker wire to the input connectors. Separate the loudspeaker wire so that at least 2 inches of each conductor are free. Strip away 1/4 inch of insulation from each individual loudspeaker wire.
4. Connect the wires: Press down each spring-loaded connector one at a time, insert the appropriate conductor, and then release the connector. Make sure the conductor is making contact with the stripped wire and not the wire jacket. Gently tug on the loudspeaker wire to ensure it is held in place. Observe correct polarity: Positive (+) goes to the red post and negative (-) goes to the black post.
5. Mount the speakers: Carefully hold the speaker with both hands and angle it slowly into the cutout hole until the frame is flush with the ceiling or wall. Hold it in place carefully with one hand and use a drill to begin mounting the speaker. Tighten the four screws, but do not over tighten them. Over-tightening may cause difficulties when installing the grille.
6. Install the grille: Push the grille evenly into the hole until it snaps in place.
7. Connect to the receiver: Connect the other end of each loudspeaker wire to the receiver or amplifier, carefully observing polarity.
8. Test the speakers: Turn on the receiver or amplifier and test all the loudspeakers in the system to ensure they are working properly.
